(YELLOWKNIFE) Tuesday, June 3, 2025 – The Honourable Shane Thompson, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, is excited to announce Mace Tour this year to take place in the following communities:

June 16 – Kakisa & Enterprise
June 17 – Fort Providence

Each year, the Mace goes on tour to share the rich history of this symbol of the Legislative Assembly that honours the culture of the Northwest Territories by bringing together northern elements, carving, metalwork, beadwork, quillwork, and pebbles from each of the 33 communities. It is also an opportunity for the Speaker to connect and meet with residents.
