Dome Lighting

The building has an external lighting system that allows the building Domes to be lit in a single colour wash (including blackout) or multiple colours (northern lights). This lighting not only helps highlight the building’s architectural features but can help the Legislative Assembly to participate in celebrations and commemorations in the wider community, strengthen public engagement, and promote the Northwest Territories.

Summer Months

During the sunny summer months of June and July, Northerners experience nearly 24 hours of daylight, known as the 'midnight sun.' Any special lighting requests during this period will not be considered, as they will not be effective in the continuous daylight.
