Thank you. Does the committee agree that we have concluded consideration of Committee Report 3-17(5)?
Thank you, Mr. Dolynny. General comments. Ms. Bisaro.
If you’d like to do general comments, please. I thought… Yes, general comments. Ms. Bisaro.
Thank you, Mr. Fulford. That’s the 10-minute time for Mr. Bromley’s general comments. I have Mr. Dolynny and Ms. Bisaro on the list, but I’m afraid we’re going to have to defer that until tomorrow. I’d like to thank the Premier and his witnesses for their attendance in the Chamber today.
Thank you. We will proceed with that after a brief break. Thank you.
---SHORT RECESS
Thank you, Mr. Bromley. Mr. Premier.
I would like to call Committee of the Whole to order. What is the wish of the committee today? Ms. Bisaro.
Thank you, Premier McLeod. Mr. Fulford.
Mr. Speaker, needless to say, I won’t be supporting the amendment to the motion here, but I do want to say it is too prescriptive. I think the original motion, which we’re going to vote on here shortly, gives us more latitude to have that discussion with the greater public to find out what people think before a bill comes to this House. So I think that putting it all on the same day…and that is an idea that is out there. There is some research around doing that type of thing, no doubt, but I don’t know how that would work out in the smaller communities. I don’t know how it would even work out...
Thank you, Mr. Bromley. Premier McLeod.
