The Mace Tour is a unique opportunity to explore the rich symbolism of the Mace, which honours the history, cultures, and communities of the Northwest Territories. Designed with northern elements—including carving, metalwork, beadwork, quillwork, and pebbles from all 33 communities—the Mace represents the spirit of the Legislative Assembly and the people it serves.

Join us for snacks, refreshments, and a closer look at the Mace of the Northwest Territories and the history of Consensus Government in the North. Each year, the Speaker, Sergeant-at-Arms, and members of the Office of the Clerk travel to communities across the territory to showcase the Mace and engage with residents about its rich symbolism and the unique system of governance it represents.
