Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Well, I feel like I don't have any more questions other than waiting to see this dashboard. I'm very, very excited about that. I guess well, I'm going to ask some questions about this potential dashboard.

I know that a lot of jurisdictions publish a fiveyear capital plan where it kind of breaks down what's being spent over five years and the year to year amount and kind of what's in the future. We don't presently do that. We don't presently even say how much we're spending in an individual year. Is that the kind of information I could expect in this dashboard? Thank you.

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Yeah, and I have raised this with the office of the chief information officer, and I know they're looking into it. And if the lines get blurred, I know as Health goes out and obtains new software, it may or may not be served on our physical servers, or it may be the lines get blurred yet we spend tens of millions of dollars in this area. I guess my next question is considering the money that Infrastructure spends every year on what I consider IT, or what is actually labelled IT, has there been further consideration about whether this should be rolled into Finance? It seems that the overlap...

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Yeah, thank you, Mr. Speaker. I recognize that there's three parties but, you know, there's 17 tables and I think getting two agreements out of 17 seems well, I'm hopeful we can at least get there.

I guess the Premier is still hopeful too that we're going to get two. I'm wondering if she would inform this House, or if she's willing to hint at what two she thinks that would be. And I'm also curious whether in that counting that the Premier is including agreementsinprinciple because I know we've signed a number of agreementsinprinciple that are well, they're over 20 years old now at this point...

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Yeah, thank you, Madam Chair. I'm looking at page 58, and I see information technology projects is $2.5 million. So can I just clarify that we spend $2.5 million a year evergreening our current TSC servers, networks, and storage infrastructure? Thank you.

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Yeah, thank you, Mr. Speaker. I'm going to try this again. I heard the Premier hoping that soon we will have an MOU. But my understanding was that that was an MOU of how to go about and create an action plan which seems quite a ways off from the actual plan. So when can we expect to see an actual UNDRIP action plan, and will it be in the life of this Assembly more importantly, Mr. Speaker.

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 125)

Yeah, thank you. One last one which I will ask for an update of, because this is not public information. It says here that the Mackenzie Valley environmental assessment and planning for the highway will be completed in 20252026. We all know that that's been in environmental planning for far longer than any of us wanted. But I'm just wondering if that's realistic given what I've seen regarding the change in timelines for a number of sections of the road and the bridges that are currently under environmental assessment. Do we actually think we're going to get to the EA by 20252026; do we have...

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 124)

Thank you, Mr. Chair. My questions are regarding the wellness and recovery centre which I believe is the shelter that is planned to be built. Well, I guess it was originally planned to be built kind of by the old St. John's Ambulance there on what I believe is I don't know the streets in Yellowknife. So can I just confirm well, whether that is the location or whether I know there was a request from the City of Yellowknife to put it in the current location of the day shelter where the trailers are but whether we have decided on a location? Thank you, Mr. Chair.

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 124)

I see that there's a Yellowknife River day area accessible boardwalk. Can I just get a couple more sentences about what that's about. Thank you.

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 124)

Thank you, Madam Speaker. I have reviewed the Minister's department has kind of created a process that any community can look to if they want to go through a similar process, and I appreciate that. I am just wondering if we can get a bit more of a detailed timeline for the remaining process, you know, and the stages to transfer land. I understand there is this land selection, we need the City of Yellowknife to go and do that, we need them to get back to us on an MOU, and then there's a number of processes, surveying and then ultimately transfer. But I am just wondering if somewhere there could...

Debates of , 19th Assembly, 2nd Session (day 124)

Thank you. Yeah, okay, I see that. So we spent $2 million on it last year, then it's presumably next fiscal we'll spend another $2 million or so to get us there. Can I just get a bit more information on this? Have we secured a tender for it? Is someone who's building us this, or yeah, I don't know where you actually go to buy a minerals registry system. Thank you, Mr. Chair.
