The public tour explores one of the most unique legislatures in Canada. You will learn about the consensus system of government that sets the Northwest Territories apart from other Canadian provinces. (Note: Nunavut also has a system of consensus government.)
Our staff will guide you around the building, taking the time to point out architectural features, stunning artwork, and showcase the unique attributes of our building and government.
Tours begin in the Great Hall, located just off of the main entrance. Please let the security guard know that you are here for a tour. The Legislative Assembly is fully wheelchair-accessible and has public washrooms. Reservations are not required for a tour unless you are a party of 10 or more, please e-mail LA_PAC@ntassembly.ca.
