HAVE YOUR SAY!

The Social Development Committee invites you to take part in a public hearing on:

• Bill 23: An Act to Amend the Children’s Law Act
• Bill 24: An Act to Amend the Family Law Act

The Committee will be publicly briefed on the Bills from the Honourable Jay Macdonald, Minister of Justice, and is seeking input from the public on both Bills. Members of the public are encouraged to attend and share their views on the proposed legislative changes, which aim to modernize territorial family law following federal amendments to the Divorce Act.

Participate by:

• Attending the hearing in person to share your views
• Watching live at ntassembly.ca, on the Assembly’s Facebook, or YouTube
• Submitting a written submission to @email by 5:00 PM on August 1, 2025
